I may be one of the few standing with ya on this one. Yep we also are share holders and have been season ticket holders, were with the Pack before Brett and watched his rise. Have been with em win or loose. Being from Texas have experienced the shame of what happened with the Oilers and how disrespectful Dallas was to coach Landry. I get the impression that most of the folks with critical impression of Favre are from a younger generation, maybe not, but I dont think they have followed the details like we have. I thought he bowed out to soon and under pressure. The death of a friend a family member and the wife's illness played heavily on that descision. At the end of the day he wanted to play and was willing to give it a shot, can't fault a man for going for it. He was disrespected and he had earned better. Now he has moved on. I dont want to move on with him and I am not ready to forgive and forget. I would still be cheering for the Cowboys if respect meant nothing to me. Then again what kind of Packer fan would I be if I didnt stick with my team because of management issues. I still am proud to be an American and sometimes there are presidents I dont like either, its not much different.

Favre is a crybaby bitch. If he wanted to play he shouldn't have done that embarrassing and tearful press conference announcement. Like Michael Madsen says in Reservoir Dogs, "If you're gonna act like a bitch, I'm gonna slap you like a bitch."

Cordially,

Boo Hoo Jimbo. Farve moves on and the Packers look like twits. Okay, so because of this you are saying goodbye to Vince Lombardi and the history of the "Pack"? Don't be that shallow, if you have had it with the NFL for more than just this, then come on over and watch NASCAR.

Dude, at least your team did not leave town. Mine did, the freaking' Oilers moved to Nashville! It is kind of hard to support your home team when they physically move away.

You go ask any Baltimore Colts fan, Cleveland Browns Fan, Houston Oilers Fan or heck even a Oakland Raiders fan from the 80's what they think of those teams and owners.

I personally gave up on the NFL. Got played one to many times by them. I grew up cheering for Unitas, thought highly of Bert Jones and was a Colts fan. We moved to Houston and I rooted for Pastorini, Bum, Earl and all the "Luv ya Blue" team. Still loved my Colts & adopted the Oilers. I supported the NFL for years and years. So what did I get? a big NFL S^&T sandwich. The Colts stole away in the dark of night and the Oilers did the same. So which part of the NFLs F*#k U should I the fan not understand. It is what it is. They told me to kiss theirs and to much surprise I said they can kiss mine. I turned 'em off and have walked away. I'll watch racing instead.

Come on over and watch NASCAR Jimbo. Hell, Matt Kennseth is from your neck of the woods. He could use some more support. Nothing like 800 horses and some trading paint at 190 mph for fun.

Are you serious? I didn't peg you for one of those "Favre can walk on water" guys. So, how does one deal with a primadonna after moving ahead with things like, hmmm, the playbook, the draft, etc.? I love Favre too, but in reality, he screwed himself with his behavior. Now I don't think the Pack did everything right mind you, but when Brett jumps into a place between the proverbial rock and hard place, what the heck can you do?

Brett has a share of the blame in this one Jimbo. He acted like a spoiled little rich girl, constantly changing his mind and expecting daddy to cater to his every whim. Perhaps Thompson and McCarthy should've treated their daughter with softer kid gloves. Either way, they both have some skin in this game of sullying the name of the most storied franchise in the NFL. It's a pity all around. Someday we'll forgive both sides for what they've done. What's done is done and we're moving on with Rodgers and a couple of rookies. We've been in worse positions and we're sure you'll be back on the bandwagon soon.

Just take a deeeeeep breath now.
OK - that's better.

The Packers will be Fine this year. A young QB can handle the cold at Lambeau. You'll be wearing the No12 on State before years end.

Brett brought it on himself. He sounded like a John Kerry...I voted for it before I voted against it. I quit....now I don't quit. He lost face looong time.
