Bold-faced Lies Report
I smell another regular feature coming up here as there are so many flagrant examples of folks just plain lying out their asses. We’d have to exempt pitiful official prevaricator Robert Gibbs as he hasn’t spoken the truth in recorded history. But there are plenty of good examples like this one.
The 108-page Quadrennial Homeland Security Review, made public last week by the Department of Homeland Security, uses the term “terrorist” a total of 66 times, “al Qaeda” five times and “violent extremism” or “extremist” 14 times. It calls on the U.S. government to “actively engage communities across the United States” to “stop the spread of violent extremism.”
Yet in describing terrorist threats against the United States and the ideology that motivates terrorists, the review – like its sister document from the Pentagon, the Quadrennial Defense Review – does not use the words “Islam,” “Islamic” or “Islamist” a single time.
OK now that is kinda surprising, but we are trying to reach out to Muslims and so perhaps they thought about that and then decided to avoid mentioning it. A bad choice, but I could see them doing that.
Although the homeland security official in charge of developing the review insists it was a not a deliberate decision, the document is likely to reignite a debate over terminology in the U.S.-led war against al Qaeda that has been simmering through two administrations.
“There was not an active choice” to avoid using terms derivative of Islam, Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for Policy David Heyman told reporters on a conference call. President Obama had “made it clear as we are looking at counterterrorism that our principal focus is al Qaeda and global violent extremism, and that is the terminology and language that has been articulated” by Mr. Obama and his advisers, Mr. Heyman added. He declined to use the I-word.
LIAR! You know full and well you all “actively chose” to avoid those terms and denying it just makes you look like a jackass. Everybody with an above room temperature IQ knows that al Qaeda is an Islamist group whose stated goal is a restoration and expansion for the Caliphate and the imposition of Sharia law worldwide. They say so openly and often. I bet if I read your damn report, and I will, I will find a bunch of BS about root causes of terrorism like poverty and imperialism. The root cause of terrorism in almost every place it rears it’s evil head is religious extremists attempting to impose their barbaric ways on unbelievers. And sorry there buddy, but it’s not the Mormon kids running around in their white shirts and ties, it’s the Islamist extremists. If you people can’t even bring yourselves to say that openly, then you are bone-ass useless in the fight against them and their ideology.
It is right to reach out to the bulk of Muslims who don’t support terror, but it is folly to whitewash the fact that Islam is the rallying cry for those who are trying to take us and our way of life out.

Uncle Jimbo:
Not all Muslims are terrorists, but over 98% of the terrorists are Muslim!
Since the LLL’s are obviously math- (and truth-) challenged, I don’t expect them to be able to add 2 + 2 and come up with the right answer…

I’m paraphrasing a statement from a writer for a shooting mag. Listening to some of these political hacks is like picking up a turd by the clean end. I can’t believe anyone listens to these idiots. If you can’t identify your enemy how can you fight much less win?
I will make the statement that almost all terrorists are Muslim and any Muslim that does not condemn these terrorists is just as bad as the animals that are cutting off heads.
I.m thinking of opening a restaurant call Allah’s Snack Bar and serving only bacon burgers.
Until the muslim communities give up these small percentiles of bad guys who want to be marturds,The shame must fall where it belongs. If my neighbor was holding people prisoner I would take the shot. There is no other religion that was butchered as the muslim faith. We had our moments over the hundreds of years but we straightened it out.The push is on in afghan the out come could make alot of people edgie cutting off the op supply. If they haven’t the guts to stand up and fight toe to toe you design a way to squeeze the bravery out of them.Let them dry out a while financialy and there neddle ,smoking bravery. The pussies in the administar in this country is troubling, the objection is clear at least to our military. These AQ TAlibani’s have made them selves vulnarable by their rule by death and terror among the civi population. When we started in afghan after 911,spec ops green beret along with the locals,we pushed the tali where everwe wanted, they pop up we send a laser guide or the pin point artillery. We had nobackup. If you take u must be able to hold. The task at hand is a bit harder but our military will prevail.I will be watching the push verses the olympics, alot more at steakGood Luck Gentlemen..
HUH??
The US Govt is going to “actively engage communities across the US” to stop terrorism?
I’ve talked to my neighbor , who happens to be from Pakistan , and my other neighbor , who is Italian. Hey “US GOV’T” we are clean here, better take your “report” and moveon . lmfao
We PAY for this crap???
Beyond being utter crap as UJ correctly surmises, I’m wondering just how the government is going to “actively engage communities across the US” to “stop the spread of violent extremism.”
I’m sure they have a different definition for “actively engage” than I do. Will they send out the brownshirt brigade to talk to extremists? Will they pull the eject handle on the radical muslims who recruit in prisons? I really have no idea what they mean by “actively engage” and that’s nothing new; I frequently don’t know what they mean with their statements.
It’s just more BS from a bunch of a-holes. I’m always ready to engage extremists in my community and not with words.
